Bio

A native Maritimer, I spent my growing years in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  At 18, I left home for McGill University in Montreal to pursue an undergraduate degree. After graduating from McGill with a Bachelor of Arts, I completed a post-graduate certificate program in Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Centennial College in Toronto.   A summer internship with Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment led me to a full time position at a downtown Toronto public relations firm.  There I worked on accounts such as Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, The Source by Circuit City, The Shopping Channel and Diesel Canada.

My career (and a new-found appreciation for the outdoors) took off when I moved west to the Vancouver office, where my client list expanded.  My accounts included CBC Radio and Television, Kraft Canada, HSBC Direct, CNSX Markets Inc, Warner Brothers, Dairy Queen Canada, Epson Canada, and Delta Hotels and Resorts.  I then traded in the fast paced world of public relations for an even faster paced gig called Mommyhood!

Now, back in Toronto, I am home full-time parenting my eight month old son, Sam. I spend my days trying to stay one step ahead of him - changing diapers, cleaning spit up and poop, doing laundry, cooking, housekeeping, on my hands and knees singing You are my Sunshine and Skinnamarink-a-dinky-dink, soothing, rocking, cuddling, playing, smiling until my face hurts, taking long walks with the stroller and reading Pat the Bunny and Guess How Much I Love You over and over again, and now of course … blogging about it all.
