About

Hi, I’m Rachael.  In a previous life not too long ago, I was a public relations consultant and downtown dweller who leisurely (key word being leisurely) spent my time at the gym, shopping, dining out, sleeping-in every chance I could, and hanging out with friends.  The birth of my son Sam eight months ago changed all that!

I’m the Mom who is still learning the ropes and is not so put together.  In fact I wish I could get it together enough to make it places on time without looking like I’ve just been run over by a bus!  I’m a “Mommy and Me” group activity dropout (I will make it to a music class one of these days), I often say the wrong things at the wrong times, talk too much (hopefully writing a blog would help with that!), my imagination is overactive, I worry too much, and I’m driving my fiancé a bit nutty these days with all this Mommy talk! I have far too many teenybopper pleasures like watching Gossip Girl and Beverly Hills 90210, saying “like” too many times in my sentences and admit to being a celebrity gossip whore although less so now that I don’t have as much time to keep up! I truly thought that once I became a Mother I would grow out of these “unmotherly” like things, but so far that hasn’t happened – at least not yet … but … if anything changes, I will definitely let you know.

I’m new to the blogosphere.  Now I’m thankful I attended the blogging seminar at my former public relations firm.  I find the whole Mommy blogging phenomenon fascinating and plan to write more posts about it later – stay tuned.

I am still adjusting to my new role, and my new life, so I hope you will join me on this challenging, yet rewarding and truly amazing journey!  This is where you will find my random thoughts on motherhood, product reviews (because I LOVE baby products), book reviews, and I’ll provide resources for other great mommy/parenting blogs and websites … After all, we’re all in this together, right?
